Hey mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose, the short, actionable podcast for mamas who want more. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. Happy Friday, my lovely Mama’s. And this Friday, I have a little story for you. And Mama’s daily dose is what my kitchen sink taught me. Let’s get moving before we get interrupted.
Everything in life provides a lesson if you allow it to. And I learned a very good lesson from my kitchen sink. So we have the sprayer on the kitchen sink that is separate from you know the where the water comes out. What’s that called the faucet, the faucet so the sprayer is separate. And it used to be when you put the sprayer back, it would stop spraying. Well, it stopped doing that and I tried to put it back and it would keep spraying. I got sprayed on myself so many times. I’m like wrestling with this thing. Like stop the water, you got to bend the hose all different ways. So I’m like, You know what, I’m just giving this sprayer a break. Okay, I was around the holidays and like I don’t really want to call plumber right now. So this was really more out of pure laziness than anything else. But I’m like, let’s just get the sprayer break and see how it does. All right. So three to four weeks later on, we’ll let’s give this sprayer a go. works perfectly. It’s like nothing ever happened to this sprayer. This sprayer just needed a little downtime, just needed to take a little rest and I’m like you know what kitchen sprayer. I get it. I see you and I hear you. So sometimes we don’t have to fix everything. Sometimes just taking a little break will fix it itself.
Mama your action today is to take a lesson from my kitchen sprayer and just take a little break. Sometimes we just need a little downtime and a little break. What can you do today or this weekend to give yourself a bit of a break? Because you deserve it. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
