Hey mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose, the short actionable podcast for mamas who want more. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. In the theme with making mistakes and trying our best and using them to move forward, Mama’s daily dose is how to allow for mistakes. Let’s get moving before we get interrupted.
Are you afraid of making mistakes? Are you afraid of “failure?” Because if you are afraid to go out there and make mistakes, that just kills your right to self expression, it makes you afraid to like really be who you are, and say what you want to think and do what you want to do. And I don’t know about you, but it really sucks when you’re holding back and not really being true to yourself and what you want. And if you are afraid of going out there and making mistakes, you’re not going to be the real you because there’s that fear that is holding you back. So how can you allow mistakes in your life? Allow quota for yourself, be like, Okay, this week, I’ll allow myself to make two mistakes. This will help you to go out there, take action really embody who you are, and who you want to be. Because you’re not going to be so afraid of making those mistakes, it’s actually shown that 1-3 out of every 10 decisions is actually dead wrong that you make. Alright, so 30% of the decisions… up to 30% of decisions that you make are totally wrong, which is fine, because you can look back on that mistake, and see how it is moving you closer to your goal. That mistake is just feedback. Give yourself a number, allow yourself to make mistakes.
Mama, your action today is to give yourself a quota for making mistakes. Remember, about one to three out of every 10 mistakes is totally wrong. 10% to 30% of the decisions that you make are essentially wrong. You’re already making mistakes. Let’s just go ahead and grab on to them and learn from them. And allow yourself to make those mistakes, know that it’s going to happen. So how many mistakes are you going to give yourself the quota for today and go out and make those mistakes. See what you learn. See what feedback you get and see how much further you get towards your goal and who you want to be. And if you enjoy listening this podcast please leave a rating and review. I promise this one won’t be a mistake. But the one to two minutes that you do for it will be so helpful not only to me, but reaching more Mamas and helping them get their more. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
